Aftercare
Proper aftercare helps protect your skin and ensures the best results from your treatment.
Immediately After Treatment
• Mild redness, warmth, or slight swelling around the hair follicles is normal and usually resolves within a few hours.
• The treated area may feel similar to a mild sunburn.
• Apply a soothing moisturizer or aloe if the area feels warm or irritated.
First 24–48 Hours
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs.
• Avoid strenuous exercise that may cause excessive sweating.
• Do not apply irritating skincare products such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, or harsh scrubs to the treated area.
• Avoid applying fragranced lotions, perfumes, or deodorant on treated areas if irritation is present.
Sun Protection
• Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for at least 1–2 weeks.
• Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ if the treated area is exposed to sunlight.
• Avoid tanning beds and self-tanners throughout the course of your treatments.
Hair Shedding
• Treated hairs will begin to shed over the next 1–3 weeks. This is a normal part of the process.
• It may appear as if hair is growing, but it is actually the treated hair being pushed out of the follicle.
• You may gently exfoliate after about 5–7 days to help the shedding process.
Hair Removal Between Sessions
• Shaving is allowed between treatments.
• Do not wax, tweeze, or use hair removal creams, as the hair follicle must remain intact for the laser to be effective.
Treatment Schedule
• Laser hair removal works best during the active growth phase of hair.
• Multiple sessions are required for optimal reduction.
• Treatments are typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart depending on the treatment area.
