Fat Dissolver
Preparation
-
Please avoid consuming alcohol at least 48 hours before your appointment
-
Please ensure that prior to your appointment you are sufficiently hydrated
-
Please eat something 1-2 hours prior to your appointment
Aftercare
-
Immediately after treatment with fat dissolving you may notice some redness, swelling, tenderness and a painful sensation in the treated area, as well as numbness from the local anaesthetic. These symptoms generally improve significantly over the next few days.
-
Use of aspirin or any other blood thinning medication may results in bruising
-
If there is any tenderness/pain acetaminophen may be taken
-
If bruising is present, arnica may be applied to the treated area
-
A minimum of 4-6 treatments is required in order to achieve optimal results; Some clients may naturally require more treatments depending on a number of factors
Days 1-3:
-
Apply a cool compress (not ice) for 10min every half hour if needed on day of treatment
-
Do not massage the area
-
Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours. This can cause the solution to be excreted from the skin, which will reduce the treatments effectiveness
-
No alcohol for 48 hours to prevent dehydration. After 48 hours it is still recommended to avoid alcohol, as consuming alcohol will inhibit the results, as the liver will be processing the alcohol first, versus the fat.
-
Avoid putting any pressure on the treated area for the first 48 hours (sleep on your back if possible, no face down massages). The reason for this is we want the solution to stay in place.
-
Do not use any makeup, creams, chemical exfoliants, or active skincare ingredients on the treatment area for 24 hours (retinol, vitamin C, etc). This is to reduce the risk of infection/irritation.
-
Swelling is completely normal, especially during the first few days. This indicates that the lymphatic system is working to remove the fat cells in the area.
Days 4-7
-
You may begin massaging and/or lymphatic drainage which is recommended to speed up the healing process. This can be done twice a day
Days 8-14
-
Continue massaging & lymphatic drainage
-
Avoid waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, hydrafacial, IPL, or laser treatments on the area for 2 weeks.
-
In addition to swelling there may be hardness, lumps, or numbness to the treatment area. This is normal and will subside by the next treatment
-
Hydration is very important post procedure. Please ensure you are consuming at least 80oz of water each day to speed the process up. The more water you drink, the faster the results will be seen.
-
No sun beds, swimming, UV light, and saunas until the initial skin redness and swelling has subsided
-
Please keep in mind that administering more of the solution will result in more noticeable results with each session.
-
A minimum of 2-3 treatments is recommended for optimal results. With each treatment the results will be more and more drastic.
-
Eating a healthy diet and regular physical exercise will greatly improve fat loss, and help prevent new fat gain.
-
Cutting out excessively sugary, or carbohydrate rich foods will accelerate the weight loss process. (Ex: pasta, pizza, burgers, sweets, potatoes, oatmeal, quinoa, fruits, beans, corn, starches, rice, bread, etc.)
-
Recommended foods: Eggs, fish, chicken, vegetables, low net carb foods (net carbs = carbs - fiber)
-
Clients who have combined a ketogenic (low carb) diet along with this treatment have seen the best results. It is recommended to speak with your physician about whether or not a ketogenic diet is appropriate for you.
-
Please allow for at least 2 weeks to start seeing any kind of results. This process is something that your body needs time to do on its own.
-
Sessions must be spaced out at least 2 weeks apart.
